3D-Printed Model Used to Assist in Pelvic Fracture Surgery
Surgeons at a hospital in Shanghai claimed to perform a successful operation assisted by 3D-printing technology on a bone-fractured patient in May, and she is expected to walk again in three months.
To prepare for the surgery, surgeons used a 3d printer to create a 3d model of the patient’s fractured pelvis to practice the procedure before the actual surgery.
